This weekend the Speech and Debate team made the trip to Lincoln West HS for our third regular season tournament. Despite only 1/5 of our team being present (because of many conflicts with other HB events), we still finished 6th place overall. Here were some particular standout performances:
- Brenna Scully '13 was undefeated in her first Lincoln Douglas tournament of the year, ending up in 4th place overall
- Aly Bryan '13 finished 2nd place overall in US Extemporaneous speaking
- Li Stebner '15 in her first tournament of the year was 6th in Dramatic Interpretation
- Katie McCarthy '16 earned her first rank of one from a judge in Prose-Poetry and Isabel Weil '16 won her first debate ever
- Evie Schumann '16, Anna Lietman '16, and Kavya Ravichandran '16 all earned enough points to become members of the National Forensic League

This Saturday, a slightly larger chunk of the team will travel to Mentor for our last tournament in November.
