On January 5, 2015, the Board of Trustees announced that H. William Christ, Hathaway Brown's 13th Head of School, will retire at the close of the 2015-2016 school year.
Paul Matsen, President of the Board of Trustees, wrote “With deep and immense gratitude for his exceptional and historic tenure as Hathaway Brown’s 13th Head of School, I write today with the news that Bill Christ will retire at the close of the 2015-2016 school year. Since 1987, Bill has been steadfastly and fervently devoted to HB and to all of the students who have made her their alma mater. For that, and for his visionary leadership, we are abundantly grateful.”
