Parenting in the Middle

Featuring a keynote presentation by Michelle Icard, author of "Middle School Makeover: Improving the Way You and Your Child Experience the Middle School Years" and creator of Athena's Path, a curriculum that helps girls navigate the tricky middle school social scene.

Parents of tween and teen girls are invited to join us for this free program that is designed to offer important information about their daughters' social, emotional, academic, and physical health and wellness during the important middle school years.

Following the opening presentation, parents may attend two additional 20-minute workshop sessions:

• Managing Moodiness
  Amy Speidel, Certified Parent Coach and Consultant to HB's Center for Family Support 

• The Secrets of Middle School Social Life
  Sharon Baker, HB Middle School Director

• Using Social Media for Good
  Lisa Lurie, HB Counselor

• Health Swap Challenge
  Brittany Tarver, HB Wellness Teacher

Street parking is available and light refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and registration is required.
