Angela Long Named Head Varsity Softball Coach

Hathaway Brown School is pleased to announce the hiring of Angela Long as Head Varsity Softball Coach.  Coach Long graduated from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland in 2004.  While playing at Columbia Union College, she was named the team's Most Valuable Player in 2001, 2002 & 2003, and she was also named USCAA Softball All-American in 2002, 2003 & 2004 as well as NCAA All-American in 2004.

Coach Long brings over 8 years of experience teaching and coaching softball on the professional, college, high school, middle school and elementary school levels.  She currently runs Play Ball! LLC - a baseball & softball training company that provides cutting edge instruction to develop player ability and game fundamentals.

Hathaway Brown finished 18-10 last season.  The Blazer Softball program is looking forward to the 2014 season with Coach Long at the helm.  Anyone interested in playing softball, please contact Coach Long at along@hb.edu.
