Seven members of the Upper School Science Research & Engineering Program (SREP), have been selected to present research at the Amer Association for the Advance of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting in Chicago, February 2014. The girls' research was selected based on presentations and reports they submitted and presented to the Ohio Academy of Science last spring.
The meeting is the largest of its kind and features a wide range of scientific innovation and research. This is an exceptionally incredible achievement for the HB students, since they represent 7 of the 19 students chosen in the entire state of Ohio. No other Ohio school is represented by more than two students.
The students are:
Dhiksha Balaji
Nicole Chesnokov
Shree Harisprasad
Riya Jagetia
Grace Li
Susie Min
Lulu Sun
Also invited to present at AAAS in Chicgao are
Yasmin Cobanoglu
Aparana Naredrula
The latter two were awarded this right in 2012 and will be repeat AAAS presenters.
About SREP: Since its inception, the Science Research & Engineering Program of HB's Institute for 21st Century Education has produced more than 260 publications with students as authors or coauthors, more than all other schools in Ohio; and 142 Siemens and Intel finalists and semifinalists, more than all other schools in Norhern half of Ohio.
