Hathaway Brown's International Public Policy Forum team of seniors Jenn Blumer, Aly Bryan and Brenna Scully has made it to the Elite 8 in international competition after a 3-0 decision over Greenhill School in Texas. These students will now travel to New York City this April 12-14 to compete live against the other quarterfinalists in front of an incredibly distinguished panel of judges.
They will be matched up against Hamilton High School from Chandler, Arizona. HB will continue to debate both sides of the resolution: "Resolved: adaptation is the preferred response to climate change."
IPPF is an international competition of “written debate” sponsored by the Bickel and Brewer law firm and New York University. Teams from 34 states and 29 countries wrote preliminary round essays to qualify. HB is the only Ohio team ever to be ranked among the top 32 teams in the competition's 12 years. Congratulations to these girls on this prestigious accomplishment.
